Tendulkars record outside the subcontinent is much better than pontings record in the subcontinent.
For record pontings avg against ind in india is 12.28 after 8 test matches(thats a sigificnt amount of tests)
I say india because india has the best attack if comparison has to be made for sucontinent conditions.

Tendulkar averages 54.14 after 12 tests against aus IN AUS and aus has the best bowling attack in the world if a comparison has to be made for foriegn conditions.
